March 21, 2016 SEPAC Meeting
This presentation will help participants gain a deeper understanding of executive functions and how executive functions deficits impact the behavior and academic production of children and adolescents.  Participants will gain state-of-the-art knowledge regarding executive function strengths and weaknesses and the most effective ways to help children and adolescents improve their use of executive functions.

June 9 & 13, 2016 SEPAC Meeting
This presentation is an overview of the District's Resiliency Initiative  which will begin in September 2016.  Our District guidance counselors, Mrs. Kristina Vassallo and Mrs. Thea Webber, will present information on how to build and promote a healthy concept of resiliency in your child. Mrs. Suzin Triolo, Brookside Physical Education Teacher, will also share her personal experiences as a part of a special needs child and describe her efforts in developing resiliency in her child and the students she works with each day.

We value the input of our parents and would greatly appreciate your hlep in providing feedback to the District regarding future SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Committee) meetings.  Please feel free to share your thoughts on topics you would like to learn more about in upcoming SEPAC meetings. You can return the form to Jo Ann Karamus, Brookside School, Department of Special Services.
